Volleyball Recap: North Surry Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

North Surry had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Davie County War Eagles on Monday. The Greyhounds have struggled against the War Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

North Surry was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Davie County work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-23, 25-12.

North Surry's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of KK Adame, who had 20 digs and two aces, and Julie Anna Lawson, who had ten digs and two aces. Lawson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

North Surry wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against West Davidson on the 12th. As for Davie County, they will take on Ashe County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
