Softball Recap: Millis Comes Up Short

Millis blew Medfield out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Medfield got their revenge. The Mohawks fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 6-4. The Mohawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 16-3.

Molly Rand made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Zoe Sparks was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Millis and nudges their season record down to 7-8. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 6-12 Medfield and 6-8 Bellingham. As for Medfield, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.

Coming up, Millis will be playing at home against Westwood at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Medfield, they will square off against Bellingham at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blackhawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
