Dover made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Union City, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Longhorns put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 8-1 win on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Longhorns sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Casen Buck was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last three contests. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Dover is undefeated when Buck posts two or more runs, but 8-9 otherwise.
In other batting news, Brennan Fletcher was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs he has posted over his last six matchups.
Dover pushed their record up to 12-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
