Soccer Recap: Valley Christian Wins Going Away Against Tonopah Valley

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Valley Christian brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They put the hurt on the Tonopah Valley Phoenix with a sharp 16-0 victory on Monday. Abigail Stipp was a massive factor in the win as she booted in four goals all by herself.

Something new happened on Monday as Bella Macedo saw her first action of the season, playing 20 minutes against Tonopah Valley. Macedo made the most of the opportunity, scoring four goals and one assist A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

The win snapped Valley Christian's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-4 record. As for Tonopah Valley, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Valley Christian will venture away from home to take on Gilbert Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gilbert Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 9.8 goals per game this season. As for Tonopah Valley, they will be playing at home against Odyssey Institute at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
