Volleyball Recap: Charleston Collegiate Takes a Loss

Charleston Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the First Baptist School Hurricanes. While the Sundevils didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hurricanes 25-15 in the first set.

Charleston Collegiate actually scored more points across those five sets (100-97), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-19, 25-20, 17-25, 15-11.

Charleston Collegiate's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for First Baptist School, their win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2.

Charleston Collegiate didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Charleston Math & Science on the 29th. As for First Baptist School, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Hanahan on the 30th.
