Basketball Recap: Woodland Takes a Loss

Woodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 57-31 to the Machias Bulldogs. The matchup marked the Dragons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Machias, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Woodland won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Jonesport-Beals at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Machias, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Bangor Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Machias will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
