Basketball Game Preview: Moundridge Wildcats vs. Berean Academy Warriors

The Moundridge Wildcats will face off against the Berean Academy Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Moundridge is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Last Tuesday, Moundridge earned a 49-41 win over Garden Plain. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Owls are ranked 140th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Berean Academy won against Bennington last Friday with 50 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Berean Academy narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Elyria Christian 50-48. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Moundridge's win was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Berean Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3-1 record this season.

Moundridge beat Berean Academy 41-33 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Does Moundridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Berean Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
