Basketball Recap: Inlet Grove Takes a Loss

Inlet Grove played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Wellington Wolverines, falling 70-44. The Hurricanes have struggled against the Wolverines recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Inlet Grove saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ja?Marcus Johnson went 7 for 13 on his way to 15 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Benson Murat, who posted six points.

Inlet Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Wellington, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.

Inlet Grove has already played their next matchup (against American Heritage), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wellington will be playing at home against Lake Worth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Worth has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 196 points over their last three games.
