Basketball Recap: West Carroll Takes a Loss

West Carroll came up into this matchup off a tough 23-point defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Christian Life Eagles by a score of 45-43 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

West Carroll's record now sits at 5-18. As for Christian Life, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

West Carroll will challenge River Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Christian Life, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against South Beloit at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (South Beloit has won eight straight at home, while Christian Life won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
