Softball Recap: Bound Brook Crusaders vs. Gill St. Bernard's Knights
Bound Brook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gill St. Bernard's Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 5-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2017.
Isabella Marusiak spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
