Baseball Recap: Palm Springs Gets the Win

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Palm Springs ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Xavier Prep Saints 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since March 1st.

Ian Ernesto Arroyo was incredible, getting on base in all six of his plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (four).

Palm Springs' victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-12 and their overall record up to 8-18. As for Xavier Prep, they dropped their record down to 11-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palm Springs will challenge Palm Desert at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Aztecs will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Xavier Prep, they will take on La Quinta at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
