Georgetown has gone 8-1-1 against Elgin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Georgetown Eagles will challenge the Elgin Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. Georgetown's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Tuesday, Georgetown didn't have quite enough to beat East View and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Elgin fell victim to Weiss and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against Wolves, falling 3-0. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly three goals.

Georgetown's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-2. As for Elgin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4-1.

Georgetown took their win against Elgin in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Georgetown since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
