Basketball Recap: Southeast Halifax Comes Up Short

Southeast Halifax lost against Northwest Halifax back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Southeast Halifax Trojans fell to the Northwest Halifax Vikings 75-70. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (55), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Southeast Halifax lost, don't look at O'Tavion Arrington. Despite the final result, he went 9 for 13 en route to 33 points. Arrington's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Clinton Mills Jr., who posted 13 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Southeast Halifax's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Northwest Halifax, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Southeast Halifax has already played their next contest, a 70-36 loss against Northampton County on the 7th. As for Northwest Halifax, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-47 win against North Edgecombe on the 7th.
