Volleyball Recap: Aquinas Has No Trouble Against Georgia School for Innovation & Classics

Aquinas had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Georgia School for Innovation & Classics on Tuesday. The Fightin' Irish blew past the Patriots 3-0. For the Fightin' Irish, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Aquinas took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-5, 25-15.

Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Georgia School for Innovation & Classics, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aquinas will head out to take on Harlem at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Georgia School for Innovation & Classics, they will venture away from home to challenge Fox Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
