Springfield entered their tilt with Maurepas on Thursday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They took down the Wolves 66-50. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolves, too.

Springfield was led to victory by Chase Burches and Nick Martin. Burches went 10-for-13 on his way to 20 points and six boards, while Martin shot 80% from the field en route to 16 points and eight rebounds. Burches' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Da'shaun Goss, who posted eight points.

Springfield's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Maurepas, they dropped their record down to 9-14 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home.

Springfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-30 win against Bogalusa on the 23rd. As for Maurepas, they will square off against Central Private at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
