Baseball Recap: Caprock Comes Up Short

Caprock fell victim to Coronado and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 17-0. The Longhorns haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Caprock saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Baux Martinez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple.

Caprock's loss dropped their record down to 1-25. As for Coronado, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Caprock will challenge Plainview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coronado, they will take on Lubbock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Westerners have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
