Baseball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland was the 6-1 winner over Independence when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Scots came up short against the Falcons on Monday, falling 21-6. The Scots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Highland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Tatman, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Independence, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.

While Highland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
