Softball Recap: Covington Chargers vs. Craigmont Chiefs

Covington got themselves on the board against Craigmont on Friday, but Craigmont never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Craigmont Chiefs as they made off with a 20-0 win. That looming 20-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Covington yet this season.

Isabella Crook was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Crook was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Covington got a big performance out of Kale Wheeler, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Kenzie Mathis was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
