Volleyball Recap: Live Oak Classical Falcons vs. Whitney Wildcats
Live Oak Classical was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Whitney Wildcats. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.
Live Oak Classical actually scored more points across those four sets (101-100), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 18-25, 29-27, 25-23, 28-26.
Stella Sriram paced Live Oak Classical's offense, picking up 22 kills. Sriram got some help from Mia Flynn and her 29 assists. Alex McCutcheon controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Live Oak Classical's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Whitney, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.
Live Oak Classical will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on San Juan Diego Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on September 16. As for Whitney, they will challenge Meridian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
