Soccer Recap: St. Joseph Central's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

St. Joseph Central's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the West Carter Comets get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Given St. Joseph Central's advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 41st in West Virginia, while West Carter are ranked 126th in Kentucky) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Joseph Central's one-goal win came courtesy of Riley Blake, who's now up to 13 this season.

St. Joseph Central's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-4. As for West Carter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7-1 record this season.

St. Joseph Central will venture away from home to square off against Sissonville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Carter, they will take on Boyd County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
