Softball Recap: Rutherford Comes Up Short

After flying high against Poplar Springs last Friday, Rutherford came back down to earth. The Rams came up short against the Bay Tornadoes on Wednesday, falling 9-3. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tornadoes earlier this season, when they won 7-4.

Rutherford's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Bay, they pushed their record up to 7-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Rutherford has already played their next contest, a 17-8 win against Poplar Springs on the 17th. As for Bay, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-0 victory against Gadsden County on the 17th.
