Softball Recap: Sweeny Gets the Win

The Sweeny Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Randle Lions 4-3 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Anaiah Flores, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Selene Bass also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Sweeny hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive contests.

The victory got Sweeny back to even at 4-4. As for Randle, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6-1.

Coming up, Sweeny will be taking part in a tournament against Palacios at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Randle, they will venture away from home to face off against Victoria East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
