Softball Recap: De Leon Takes a Loss

De Leon lost to Lipan back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bearcats lost 20-2 to the Indians. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

De Leon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ally Lopez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI. Emily Villarreal also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

De Leon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Lipan, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Looking ahead, De Leon will head out on the road to face off against Stephenville FAITH at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lipan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gorman at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
