Softball Recap: Ashland Takes a Loss

Ashland lost to Cameron on Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Oredockers came up short against the Comets, falling 16-5.

Aaliyah Beirl-Albertus made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Tatiana Kraft, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Ashland's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cameron, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Ashland has already played their next game, a 16-6 win against Ladysmith on the 14th. As for Cameron, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-3 defeat against Cadott on the 10th.
