Basketball Recap: Poetry Community Christian Comes Up Short

Poetry Community Christian was the 44-42 winner over Longview Christian when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Poetry Community Christian Pioneer lost to Longview Christian on the road by a 55-41 margin on Friday. While the Pioneer didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Longview Christian 11-4 in the first quarter.

Amari Jackson was the offensive standout of the contest as he dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Judah Sandel, who had three points and seven steals.

Poetry Community Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Longview Christian, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

As of now, neither Poetry Community Christian nor Longview Christian have any future games scheduled.
