Softball Game Preview: Corunna Cavaliers vs. Flushing Raiders

The Corunna Cavaliers will square off against the Flushing Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Corunna's hitters haven't had much luck over their past 13 contests, but Thursday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Corunna came up short against Montrose on Wednesday, falling 12-2.

Meanwhile, Flushing came up short against Lakeville on Tuesday and fell 9-4. The Raiders have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Jamesen Follen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those hits were her first of the season.

Corunna's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Flushing, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.

Corunna might still be hurting after the 17-5 loss they got from Flushing when the teams last played back in April of 2021. Can the Cavaliers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
