Volleyball Recap: Stratton Eagles vs. Caliche Buffaloes

After flying high against Genoa-Hugo/Karval last Thursday, Stratton came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Caliche Buffaloes on Friday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buffaloes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While Stratton was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15, 25-21.

Sophie Isenbart paced Stratton's offense, picking up 15 kills. Isenbart got some help from Camory Wedel and her 15 assists. Kamryn Talbert controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Hayden Walker was the offensive standout of the match as she had 12 digs and two assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Stratton fell to 3-1. As for Caliche, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Stratton will be playing at home against Akron at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Caliche, they are taking a road trip to face off against Wiley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
