            Softball Recap: Lyman Greyhounds vs. Lake Mary Rams        
        
		
        
        
            Lyman was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight  loss. They came up short against  the Lake Mary Rams, falling  16-1. The Greyhounds were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting  back in April of 2024.

 Lyman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Makayla Darwent, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Darwent is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played.
Lyman's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Lake Mary, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-16 record  this season.
 Lyman has already played their next game,  a  15-0  defeat against Timber Creek on the 16th. As for Lake Mary, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Seminole  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Seminoles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.84  runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
