Volleyball Game Preview: Neuqua Valley Wildcats vs. Naperville North Huskies

Neuqua Valley hasn't had much luck against Naperville North recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will take on the Huskies at 5:30 p.m. Naperville North took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Neuqua Valley, who comes in off a win.

Neuqua Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over DeKalb.

The win didn't come easy: DeKalb scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Naperville North came up short against Waubonsie Valley on Thursday and fell 2-0.

Naperville North might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Waubonsie Valley: every set was decided by exactly two points. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-23.

Neuqua Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. As for Naperville North, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-6.

Neuqua Valley couldn't quite get it done against Naperville North in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
