After losing to Ferndale the last time they met, South Fork decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cubs put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 11-1 win on Thursday. The Cubs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

South Fork got a big performance out of Mackenzie Coleman, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Anora Blackwell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for South Fork and bumps their season record up to 10-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Ferndale, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-8 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: South Fork beat the Wildcats by a score of 10-1 later that day.
