Basketball Game Preview: Jones Eagles vs. St. Patrick Shamrocks

The Jones Eagles will head out to take on the St. Patrick Shamrocks at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

Jones easily dispatched Austin College and Career Academy on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Jones fell just short of Manley by a score of 45-43 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Patrick). They claimed a resounding 91-33 win over Bulls College Prep. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Shamrocks with their most commanding win of the season.

Jones' loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-8. As for St. Patrick, their record is now 13-4.

Things could have been worse for Jones, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 68-52 loss to St. Patrick when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Jones avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
