Klein Forest had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Spring Lions on Friday. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Erick Garcia looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit.

At the plate, Klein Forest let Kaiden Sziy and Santo Aranzeta run wild. Sziy scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4, while Aranzeta scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Aranzeta a new career-high in stolen bases. Kayson Traylor also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Klein Forest's record is now 3-7-1. As for Spring, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

Coming up, Klein Forest will take on Pasadena Memorial at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Spring, they will face off against La Porte at 11:30 p.m. on Friday. La Porte's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Spring's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
