Softball Game Preview: Notre Dame Academy Tritons vs. Green Bay Preble Hornets

Notre Dame Academy hasn't had much luck against Green Bay Preble recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tritons will head out to square off against the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. Notre Dame Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

Notre Dame Academy fell victim to Pulaski and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Raiders.

Notre Dame Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addyson Simpson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Green Bay Preble put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Ashwaubenon a 5-0 shutout. Give the Hornets' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Green Bay Preble pushed their record up to 15-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Notre Dame Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
