Basketball Game Preview: Gibbs Gladiators vs. Northeast Vikings

Gibbs is 8-2 against Northeast since November of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Gibbs Gladiators will face off against the Northeast Vikings at 8:00 p.m. Gibbs will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Gibbs didn't have too much trouble with IMG Academy Gold as they won 64-50.

Gibbs got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacob Daniels out in front who posted ten points in addition to seven assists and six boards. What's more, Daniels also racked up five steals, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Oneal Delancy, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 17 points.

Meanwhile, Northeast was able to grind out a solid win over Hollins on Friday, taking the game 65-57.

Northeast is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Gibbs, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.

Everything went Gibbs' way against Northeast in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Gibbs made off with a 73-52 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gibbs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
