Baseball Game Preview: Marist RedHawks vs. Saint Viator Lions

For the second straight game, Marist will face off against Saint Viator. The RedHawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Marist is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Saint Viator just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 4-3.

For Saint Viator's part, Hunter Mills tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Mills has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brandon Thomsen, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last ten matches.

Saint Viator is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Marist, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
