Basketball Recap: McNair Triumphs

McNair fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 72-66 W against the Lamar County Trojans.

Kente Taylor went supernova for McNair, going 14 of 30 on his way to 28 points. The dominant performance also gave Taylor a new career-high in field goal percentage (47%). Another player making a difference was Dennis Johnson, who posted eight points and seven assists.

McNair's victory bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Lamar County, they dropped their record down to 7-15 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

McNair wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 71-38 defeat against Cristo Rey Atlanta on the 3rd. As for Lamar County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-36 loss against Upson-Lee on the 1st.
