Soccer Game Preview: St. Thomas Aquinas vs. South Broward

St. Thomas Aquinas is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Dwyer a 4-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won eight contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, South Broward had already won 15 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals) and they went ahead and made it 16 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Knights, sneaking past 3-2. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked third, while the Knights are ranked 161st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five matches. As for South Broward, their win bumped their record up to 19-1.
