Softball Recap: Thomasville Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Thomasville waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past Demopolis 7-1. That's more bragging rights for Thomasville, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Mardie Carpenter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Carpenter was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kianna Smith, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Zion Howard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
