Volleyball Recap: North Johnston Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kathryn Pitts and Callie Lancaster + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when North Johnston took on SouthWest Edgecombe on Tuesday. The Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

North Johnston started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 25-13, 26-24.

Callie Lancaster and Kathryn Pitts certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Lancaster had 23 digs and 19 kills, while Pitts had 18 digs and three aces. With that strong performance, Lancaster is now averaging an impressive 10.7 digs per game. Another player making a difference was Addison Wilkinson, who had 18 digs and two assists.

North Johnston's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for SouthWest Edgecombe, they moved to 7-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
