Marcus Cooper, Tate's leading scorer, solidified his role on Friday. Cooper turned in nothing short of a gem, going 9-for-16 on his way to 21 points along with eight boards and three steals. The contest was his third in a row with at least 21 points.

Cooper and Tate will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Booker T. Washington at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026. The Aggies have some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since December of 2020, but a win here would be a good start.
