Football Recap: Palm Beach Gardens Finds Playoff Glory Versus Centennial

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Palm Beach Gardens had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Centennial Eagles as they made off with a 29-8 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.

Rekhi Richardson was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 91 yards on only eight carries, and also caught one touchdown. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 59 yards. Brandon Garland did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 83 receiving yards.

Despite the defeat, Centennial saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Terriel Harmon rushed for 55 yards and one TD.

Palm Beach Gardens' victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Centennial, they now also have a losing record of 5-6.

Coming up, Palm Beach Gardens will host Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
