Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ryker Field and Caleb Stephens Lead Morgan to Victory

Morgan's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the West Field Longhorns. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Morgan was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 20-25, 25-17.

Morgan was led to victory by Caleb Stephens and Ryker Field. Stephens had eight digs, two blocks, and two aces, while Field had 12 digs. Stephens has been hot, having also posted 18 or more assists the last seven times he's played.

Morgan's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for West Field, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Morgan will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ben Lomond at 6:00 p.m. on the 8th. As for West Field, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Bear River on the 28th.
