Baseball Preview: Liberty Christian Lions vs. Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers        
        
		
            
 The Liberty Christian Lions will play host again  on Saturday to welcome the Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers, where first pitch is scheduled  at 2:00  p.m.
 Liberty Christian is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11  runs  on Friday, they were much more limited against Irvington Preparatory Academy  on Monday. They lost  16-2 to Irvington Preparatory Academy.
  Carter Wicker was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring a  run and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. He hasn't dropped below three  stolen bases for three straight games.
 Even though they lost, Liberty Christian  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with six  strikeouts. This was only their ninth loss (out of 11 games) when  they post five or more  strikeouts.
 Meanwhile, Indiana School for the Deaf scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  two weeks ago. They put the hurt on Tindley with a sharp  23-4 victory.
  Nathan Rudik was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Rudik was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring four  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Daniel Healy, who  scored four  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Tiernan Booth, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases.
 Liberty Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Indiana School for the Deaf,  the  win  got them back to even at 2-2.
 The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Liberty Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 3.2  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Indiana School for the Deaf struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 8. The only question left is which team can snag more.
 Liberty Christian skirted past Indiana School for the Deaf  3-2 in their previous meeting  back in May of 2023. Does  Liberty Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Indiana School for the Deaf turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
