Basketball Recap: Greenbrier Christian Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Josh Schneider and Luke Macdermod

Greenbrier Christian Academy was the 55-48 winner over Broadwater Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broadwater Academy Vikings.

Despite the defeat, Greenbrier Christian Academy had strong showings from Luke Macdermod, who posted 16 points, and Josh Schneider, who had 12 points.

Leading Broadwater Academy to victory were Grayson Ross and Noah Pruitt. Ross went 6 for 14 en route to 23 points and six boards, while Pruitt went 7 of 10 on his way to 19 points and seven rebounds. Those 23 points gave Ross a new career-high. Chris Ames was another key player, putting up five points.

Greenbrier Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Broadwater Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Greenbrier Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-58 loss against StoneBridge on the 17th. As for Broadwater Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-26 defeat against Portsmouth Christian on the 17th.
