Soccer Recap: Wilson Christian Academy's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Wilson Christian Academy lost against Greenfield two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Chargers fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Wilson Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 235th, while Greenfield are ranked 75th).

Wilson Christian Academy's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5. As for Greenfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Wilson Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on LifeSpring Academy at 7:00 p.m. on October 2. As for Greenfield, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against The Oakwood School on the 24th.
