Baseball Recap: Xavier Prep's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Xavier Prep can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Shadow Hills Knights by a score of 7-4. That's more bragging rights for the Saints, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Elijah Castro was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Hyun Jun Kim was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Castro wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Xavier Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Xavier Prep's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4. As for Shadow Hills, they moved to 5-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Xavier Prep beat Shadow Hills by a score of 1-0 on Friday.
