Baseball Recap: DeRidder Takes a Loss

DeRidder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 12-1 to the DeQuincy Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Dragons have suffered against the Tigers since March 3, 2017.

DeRidder's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for DeQuincy, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Looking ahead, DeRidder will take on Merryville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for DeQuincy, they will challenge East Beauregard at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.25 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
