Football Recap: East River's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

East River fell victim to Horizon and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 21-0 to the Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 186th, while the Hawks are ranked 14th).

Fabi Kreubel looked great while leading her team to the win, throwing for 188 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.7% of her passes.

East River's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5. As for Horizon, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Looking ahead, East River will challenge Matanzas at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates' defense has only allowed 9.5 points per game this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them. Horizon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
