Basketball Recap: Konos Academy Comes Up Short

Konos Academy played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Johnson Ferry Christian Academy Saints, falling 79-51. The Condor haven't had much luck with the Saints recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Several Condor players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Callum Franke, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Gaines Casey, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards.

It was another big night for Trent Witte, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 15 rebounds for Johnson Ferry Christian Academy. Witte has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 12 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of David Cannon, who had 15 points and five steals.

Konos Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Johnson Ferry Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Konos Academy has already played their next contest, a 67-50 win against Harvester Christian Academy on the 15th. As for Johnson Ferry Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-55 defeat against Georgia Force Christian on the 14th.
