Basketball Recap: Carter G. Woodson Triumphs

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Carter G. Woodson had no problem doing just that on Monday. They snuck past the Iron Academy Swordsmen with a 56-50 victory.

Carter G. Woodson picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 5-15. As for Iron Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.

Looking ahead, Carter G. Woodson won't have much time to rest: their next game is against NC GBB Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carter G. Woodson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully NC GBB Academy likes a good challenge. Iron Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
